The Puerto Rico/NYC-raised DJ/producer gives new rhythms “un saborsito Latino” with compadre Uproot Andy, then performs them at their wildly successfully monthly parties. Geko draws from his Afro-Latin roots and proves you don’t have to play hip hop, salsa or reggaeton at a Latin party to start un movimiento. Check out his on-air interview with us here.   6. Don’t you know it’s loco, ese?! This has got to be the wildest combo we’ve heard of in years! Cypress Hill and Rusko?!

    Old school psychotic hip-hop and dubstep landmines make for some raw, scratchy, scary stuff. Especially on this Mustard Pimp refit of “Lez Go,” which is guaranteed to drop a few IQ points with each listen (something’s gotta give between all the shaking beats and tweaks and dance torture porn). We say, so worth it. June 4 is when you can get the rest (on EP), though [this] lead video (complete with footage from the team’s 2012 SmokeOut performance with Travis Barker on the drums). —RCRDLBL

  9. So let’s make this official! Bombon will be performing Saturday (Day 1) June 2nd at 3pm on the 29-95 Stage for FPSF 2012. Check FPSF.com for the entire day’s lineup and times.

    Then, right after the fest join us for our Bombon SF After-Party with Geko Jones of NYC’s Que Bajo parties at Fox Hollow (4617 Nett, 77007)! 

    And to ensure that we all have a fun and safe time, Fox Hollow released a statement we’d like you to take note of:

    Many of you have been faithful followers from day one, and all of you have been instrumental in Bombon becoming a big hit. We want to take this opportunity to address an issue that occurred at the very end of the night on Cinco de Mayo involving some of our beloved patrons and a member of the Fox Hollow staff.  The physical incident was quickly contained and managed accordingly. 

    As a result, we determined that a few changes would be made for next month’s event. A few of the changes are slight and regard communication, but the more important change is the noticeable absence of the door personnel that was involved in the incident.

    We understand that Cinco de Mayo was the largest turnout ever for a Bombon event, and as a result the likelihood of an incident did increase. Fox Hollow and Bombon have a mutual interest and goal to ensure the safety, well being and enjoyment of all patrons and staff members.  We want people to have a good time while respecting the space of one another.  We do not condone any behavior(s) that are disrespectful or overzealous in any form. 

    We appreciate your involvement in helping make Bombon and Fox Hollow a true success.  Thank you.
